The Blessing, the Blesser and the Blessed (2)

In following the Blesser, you must take note of the following things:

1. Receive the words of the blesser: God has sent His messenger into the lives of some people to give them a word that can turn their lives, or situation around but they treated the word sent unto them with contempt. As a child of God, you must never find yourself among this category of people. 2 Chronicles 20:20

2. Never find yourself seeking to receive something physical from your blesser: Prophets don't give money they give oil (Acts 3:1-7; 2 Kg 2:1-14). When people put their eyes on the material thing that the prophet has, they lose out of the anointing and blessing that could have been theirs.

3. Respect your blesser: The anointing works based on estimation, the anointing that you have no respect for will never work for you. Some people discover this too late. Never despise a carrier of the calling and you will not fail.

4. Sow your seed into his life and work: The most critical time you must know is your seedtime.  Every time there is a need in your life, God will set in motion, processes that will make you see a grace, calling or an anointing or a commission and demand that you sow into it.  The solution to your need is your seed. The day will come that you will have to stand on your seed in order to cancel a major need in your life. Consider the story of the Shunamite woman in 1 Kings 4: 8 -37.

She received the man of God into her house, gave him an apartment to stay and provided meals for him. When the time of need came, it was the seed that this woman had sown at the right time that spoke for her. The following are some of the harvests she enjoyed:

i.      God responded back to her by giving her a son even when she did not believe the man of God.

ii.     When her child died, God brought him back to life.

iii.    When famine was coming upon the land, God gave her advanced information to relocate before the famine struck.

iv.    When the famine was over and she returned, her landed properties had been hijacked, but God arranged a seven-fold restoration for her. (2 Kings 8: 1 -6)

Prayer: Lord, I receive grace to provoke your blessing in my life henceforth; deliver me from any hidden tendency to despise the servant of God in Jesus' name.
