Parenting Is A Calling.

–It is a calling to raise Godly seeds
“And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth” (Malachi 2:15 KJV)

–It is a calling to raise Proper Children
And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly (proper) child, she hid him three months. (Exodus 2:2)

–It is a calling to raise Saviors, deliverers
Deliverers will go up on Mount Zion to govern the mountains of Esau. And the kingdom will be the Lord 's. (Obadiah 1:21 NIV)

You can't afford to fail, you can't afford to raise children that will end up a disappointment, you need to rise up to do it well.

FACTS ABOUT TRAINING

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6 KJV)

- Child Bearing is biology, Child rearing is natural, Child training is technical, you need to learn about it

- It is not done in proxy, by accident or by wishful thinking. School Teachers ca not help you train them, it is not the work of Sunday Teachers, it is your duty and you will give account to God.

- A child not trained will end up a disgrace: Armed Robbers, drug addicts, kidnappers of today are mostly the result of parental failure, train up your own Children to be responsible Citizens.

- Training must be seen as a major duty, a profession.

- You have limited time to do all you needed to do on your Children, be in haste to groom them, do it quickly, they will soon marry and leave you, the rest of their lives will show whether you did it well or not.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR CHILDREN
- BE AVAILABLE
- TRAIN THEM DELIBERATELY: Don't leave things to Chances, prepare for it, plan your strategy, make yourself available for it.

- LEARN ABOUT PARENTING
- UNDERSTAND EACH CHILD
- BE A GOOD EXAMPLE.
- TAKE THEM TO GOD IN PRAYER:
And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. (Isaiah 54:13 KJV)

- HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AS A PARENT
