Love & Relationships BITTER TRUTH ON MARRIAGE Part 10 Work It Out
DEC 23, 2011 LISTEN

The person who is taking care of you in the office and saying good things to lure you is doing that because of the carnal and material benefits of doing that. And the temptation is for you to think you have made a mistake and should have married that one. Maybe you should try and live in the same house with the person for one week. I tell you, you will discover that the person is worse than your partner.

You may see someone in church or office every time and say “This was the type of wife or husband I dreamt of. I don't know why I am so unlucky.” My dear, if you are not told, you will never know the meditations of the heart of that person you envy. That person is simply working out his or her marriage. His or her prayer points might just be more than yours. Your own marriage can be better than what it is today if you take a decision to make it so.

It is very important for those who are married to realize that society might make it cheap to walk away from a marriage. There are always regrets at the end of the action. It costs over 30 pounds to get married and just about 4 pounds to get a divorce in the UK. If you pay 4 pounds, they give you Certificate of Divorce. But what about the children that ought to take care of you at old age? What about their future, moral upbringing, etc? Of a truth, you cannot wish everything away. Your friends are always involved. Then, your relations and other stakeholders. You may still need to live forever.

In this season of Christmas and merriment, inject merriment and joy into your relationship. Look for it. Pursue it. Work it out. Your marital relationship must be joyful. It will work if you want it to.
