I. Son of Man, grace be unto you and your household. And he said to them, 'Come and see.' They came and saw where he was living, and they spent that day with him. Today invite someone to come and see Jesus Christ. It is your duty as a believer to invite someone daily to come and see. It was about the tenth hour. One of the two who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, 'We have found the Messiah,' which means Christ. Andrew found his brother and told him the good news. Have you told your brethren the good news about Jesus Christ? What about your close associates? Andrew did not only inform his brother, but he also took him to Jesus Christ. It's not enough to just tell them about Jesus; we must take the extra step to lead them to Christ.
II. My Beloved Sisters and Dear Brothers, Jesus Christ looked at him and said, 'You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas, which means Peter. This affirms the divinity of Jesus Christ, who knew who Peter was and the name of his father. Beloved, the assurance is that God knows you. The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, 'Follow me.' Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, 'We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.' Beloved, as we receive the good news, let us spread it. Let’s not keep the good news to ourselves. Let us not be self-centred. The disciples were enthused when they heard the good news. They quickly move to their immediate family members, friends and others to share the good news with them. What are you doing with the good news today? Are you feeling shy about sharing the good news?
III. Daughter of Zion, Nathanael said to him, 'Can anything good come out of Nazareth?' Philip said to him, 'Come and see.' Today, as you attempt to spread the good news, you will encounter the Nathanaels who will doubt your qualification to share the gospel. You will encounter Nathanaels who will look down on you. You have Nathanaels who will attempt to discourage you, but brethren, don’t worry; you are on the right mission. And when Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, he said of him, 'Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit. Nathanael said to him, 'How do you know me?' Jesus answered him, 'Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.' Nathanael answered him, 'Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!' Jesus answered him, "Because I said to you, 'I saw you under the fig tree,' do you believe? You will see greater things than these.' And he said to him, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.'
IV. Precious in the Lord, today, I assure you that Jesus Christ has already seen you wherever you are. God knows all that you are going through. Beloved, I assure you that you are not alone. Likewise, the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned. Today, you will not be in darkness again, for your light has come. Today, through a divine encounter with Jesus Christ, you have moved from death, misery, desperation, depression, rejection and dejection into a hopeful stage. And Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. This is a DIVINE mystery revealed through the Authority and Power of Christ Jesus and served to you through God’s Vessel Francis Ameyibor, Yes! As the fame of Jesus Christ spread through your spreading of the gospel, so shall your fame also spread.
V. 2025 MY YEAR FOR MY STAR TO RISE FOR THE WORLD TO NOTICE—When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and after he sat down, his disciples came to him. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: 'Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.'
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, we believe in your power to unwrap us from the bondages that hold us back. We ask for your touch in our lives, that we may experience freedom, liberation, and transformation. May your Spirit guide us, empower us, and lead us into the abundant life you have promised. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray - Amen.
