I. Son of man, grace be unto you and your household. To break through in life, you must be consistent in your pursuit and daily walk with God. Don’t give up too early, you must be vigorous and determined. Scripture tells us that a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple. They daily carried him to the strategic location to ask for alms. They never give up; what they were looking for motivated them enough to daily go through the ritual of carrying him to the same place. What is motivating you to go to church? What is the backbone of your marriage? Do you have a foundation and solid conviction in what you are doing? Their consistency paid off one day with the miraculous encounter with Peter and John, which led to his healing. Don’t worry that it's taking quite some time. Be dependable and unmovable, for your labour of love will yield positive results soon.
II. Daughter of Zion, it was the daily habit of the Son of God early in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. What is your daily ritual? Does the Son of God really need daily prayers? If then the Lord Jesus Christ believes in and practises early morning solitary prayer sessions, what are you still doing in bed at that hour of prayer? We need power through prayers and communing with God to go through each day. We must step in the footprint of Jesus Christ to build a consistent Christian lifestyle. You cannot operate in the power of the Holy Ghost without being consistent. You cannot be fruitful in the kingdom business without being reliable. Your business is collapsing because your customers cannot rely on your daily supplies. You have not been promoted because your senior officers cannot depend on you for quality delivery of tasks.
III. My beloved sisters and brothers, remember the case of the persistent widow who disturbed a judge to the point where the judge had to give in. And there was a widow in that town who kept appealing to him, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but later he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect men, yet because this widow keeps pestering me, I will give her justice. Then she will stop wearing me out with her perpetual requests. Consistency and persistency yielded positive results even from an ungodly judge. My beloved sister, today, I encourage you not to give up; continue to knock at that door and it will soon open for you. Continue seeking, and one day you will find it, and continue asking, and soon and very soon you will receive your answer. We are encouraged to pray at all times; that is a call to be consistent and persistent daily before the Lord.
IV. Precious in the Lord, the Bible encourages believers to pray at all times, using various phrases like "pray without ceasing" and "pray in the Spirit at all times". This doesn't mean a literal, constant vocal prayer, but rather a state of mind where prayer is a consistent part of one's life and actions. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. This is a DIVINE AWAKENING WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT sent forth through the power and authority of Christ Jesus and serves the brethren through GOD'S Vessel Francis Ameyibor, Yes! GOD is working all things together for my good, and it is intentional.
V. 2025 MY YEAR FOR MY STAR TO RISE FOR THE WORLD TO NOTICE— Remember that the widow kept coming to the unjust judge, not giving up until she received justice, and this persistence demands that we pray consistently too.
PRAYER: Gracious Lord, may you empower us to be consistent in our prayer life. Lord, today, I commit into your hand that sister, that brother who wants to give up. Lord, renew his spirit; Lord, renew her spirit. Lord, today we pray against the spirit of inconsistency; we pray against the spirit of giving up too early, and, Lord, today clothe us with the spirit of consistency and persistency through Christ Jesus’ name, Amen.
