I. MY BELOVED SISTERS, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours. Beloved, sometimes it's great to reflect on what you can do or achieve, but it is a soul-liberating truth to acknowledge that despite all your efforts, you can, in your own powers and abilities, do nothing. . Your accomplishment is not through your efforts alone, as others have also used the same method and failed. It was not only your beauty that attracted your husband; others are more beautiful than you and more resourceful but are still single. It was not only the efforts of medical practitioners that got you out of that hospital bed; others with less severe medical conditions did not return home. So whatever condition you find yourself recognize that .
II. MY DEAR BROTHER, it is a fact that we live in a world that celebrates self-sufficiency and independence. The world around us builds a sense of self-accomplishment in us. We are told to pull ourselves up to take control of our lives and to never give up. This mindset leads to exhaustion and adopting sometimes ungodly means to accomplish what the world wants from us. It can lead to burnout, anxiety, and a sense of overwhelm. The world wants you to get married at a certain age. The world wants to get pregnant after being married for some time. The world wants you to get a job after graduation. The world wants you to be rich after working – own a car, a house, and other things. Yes, they are good. The world’s expectation puts pressure on everyone. Some have died out of stress. Some marriages are going through difficulties. Some workers are stealing and involved in all forms of corruption. Let us not forget that we can do nothing. Things of this world are beyond our human understanding.
III. DAUGHTER OF ZION, the Bible encourages us to recognize that we can do all this through Christ Jesus, who gives us strength. All these expectations of life are good, but we must recognize the role of the Omnipotent God in our daily affairs. We must acknowledge our human limitations. We must see the unseen hands which control this universe both physically and spiritually. Let us work through Christ Jesus. Let us wait on God for his direction and purposes. Let us listen to God more and the world less; then we can do great and mighty things in his name. Beloved, when we are faced with situations that are beyond our control and when we are powerless, that's where prayer comes in. Prayer is not just a last resort; it's our first response. Let us always be encouraged that the grace of God is always sufficient for us, for his power makes us perfect in weakness. Therefore, Paul stated, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. Paul is telling us today that our weakness is not something to be ashamed of, but let us give God all the glory.
IV. SON OF MAN, and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. When we admit that we can do nothing, we are forced to depend on God and understand that all things are working together for our good. They may not come as quickly as we may want or in the format of our expectations, but still all things are working for our good. And that's where the joy comes in. Dependence is not a sign of weakness; it's a sign of strength. It takes courage to admit that we need help. So, I want to leave you with a challenge today. Instead of trying to do everything on your own, try surrendering. Try admitting that . This is the DIVINE WORD to strengthen the brethren sent forth through the Authority of Christ Jesus and served through God's Vessel Francis Ameyibor. Yes! Try depending on God. You might just find that it's the most liberating thing you have ever done.
V. 2025 MY YEAR FOR MY STAR TO RISE FOR THE WORLD TO NOTICE—, but God can do everything. And when we surrender to Him, we'll find that we're not powerless after all. We're powerful because we're connected to the One who can do all things.
PRAYER: LORD, I surrender all to thee; let your will be done in my life. In Christ Jesus name I pray AMEN.
