You Need Keys to Unlock Your Spiritual Breakthroughs

I. Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, grace be unto you and your household. Let us reflect on scriptural mystery to help us understand how to deal with stubborn and chronic challenges that continue to frustrate our lives. In the Bible we find the account of a father who brought his demon-possessed son to Jesus' disciples, only to be met with failure. The disciples failed to demonize the young man. Have you also presented your cases before, Reverend Ministers, Pastors, Prophets, Prayer Warriors, and still they failed to resolve the problem? This means your problem is a “this kind” type. “This kind” of problem is stubborn, harmful, resists normal forms of prayers, and always counterattacks us. Do you have “this kind” of need? After the disappointment from the disciples, the pastors, and the prophets, the man took a bold step and went to Jesus Christ.

II. Daughter of Zion, you must depend on Jesus Christ and not the disciples. You must look for Christ Jesus and not disciples. You must personally seek Jesus Christ and not through others; no matter their titles, they have human limitations. Jesus Christ immediately cast out the demon from the child. The disciples went back to Jesus Christ to enquire why they failed to cast out the demon. Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." This kind is not about shouting and speaking in tongues only. It also reveals that we must build ourselves up in the spirit and be prepared at all times to deal with any situation. As Jesus Christ did not ask the man and his demon-possessed son to embark on fasting and prayer for healing. Jesus Christ immediately cast out the demon.

III. Son of Man, Jesus Christ demonstrated to us that even though “this kind” of challenge goes through prayer and fasting, we must also be in the spirit to deal with situations. The Lord Jesus Christ emphasizes the necessity of prayer and fasting in overcoming certain spiritual strongholds. That confusion in your marriage will only go out through consistent prayer and fasting. The locked doors will only open through relentless prayer and fasting. Let us build up our spiritual strongholds through persistent personal prayer and fasting sessions. The apostle James reinforces this concept when he wrote, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." The phrase "effectual fervent" conveys a sense of intense, passionate prayer that stems from a righteous heart. This kind of prayer is not merely a ritualistic exercise but a heartfelt, Spirit-led cry that moves the heavens.

IV. Beloved, this kind does not go out through monetary-induced corporate church congregational prayer and fasting sessions. It does not go through mere starvation as fasting and pronouncements as prayers. Beloved, fasting is not merely an optional adjunct to prayer but an integral component that amplifies our prayers. When we fast, we voluntarily surrender our physical desires, creating space for spiritual renewal and intimacy with God. Fasting, in essence, is an act of worship that demonstrates our dependence on God and our willingness to seek Him above all else. This is what will invoke the power of God to manifest to deal with this kind of situation.
