Combine prayer and fasting to deal with stubborn problems

I. Daughter of Zion, may the peace of God locate you this month. Today, let us reflect on the potency of prayer and fasting. When prayer and fasting are combined, they create a potent synergy that can shatter even the most entrenched spiritual strongholds. Are you confronted with spiritual strongholds, and are the ancients’ ancestral gates standing in your way? Beloved, the methodology of Jesus Christ was to set aside regular times of prayer and fasting. And in the morning, rising a great while before day, he went out and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. It was the Son of God’s custom and habit to rise early and depart to an isolated place to commune with His father, God, through prayer. What is your custom early in the morning? Jesus Christ fortifies himself for the day through early morning spiritual exercise. How do you fortify yourself for your daily task?

II. Son of Man, to be able to deal with this kind of challenge, let us set aside dedicated time to seek God, combining prayer and fasting to intensify our spiritual growth. Let us also learn to seek God's guidance and wisdom on how to deal with each situation. Let us use prayer and fasting to seek God's direction and wisdom in times of uncertainty or decision-making. Let us also learn to intercede for loved ones, friends, and even enemies, asking God to work in their lives. Above all, let us crown it with regularly fasting and praying to seek spiritual renewal, revival, and growth in our walk with God. When we develop the habit of seeking God daily, we will have the keys to open each room that we must enter. We will also have the spiritual discernment to lock doors that the enemy has opened to trap us inside.

III. My Beloved Sisters and Dear Brothers, a solitary prayer place can be created in your home, office, and wherever you find yourself. Jesus Himself provided the clearest teaching on the power of solitary prayer. In the Sermon on the Mount, He instructed, "But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your father, who sees in secret, will reward you." There is power in corporate prayer and fasting, but there is immense spiritual force in solitary prayer sessions. Let us develop the habit and custom of a solitary prayer and fasting life. We cannot deal with chronic challenges through normal channels. Let us move into our prayer chamber for power to overcome the world. You must personally seek Jesus Christ and not through others; no matter their titles, they have human limitations. Jesus Christ set godly examples for us to follow as his followers.

IV. My Beloved Sister, let us build up our spiritual strongholds through persistent early morning personal prayer and Bible study sessions. Beloved, remember that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." This kind demands effectual fervent prayers and not merely a ritualistic exercise. We must move heaven to hear our cry. Our prayers must build a memorial in heaven. Occasional prayers cannot build a memorial. Quick-fit prayers cannot build a memorial. As and when prayers cannot make a mark in heaven. Fasting, in essence, is an act of worship that demonstrates our dependence on God and our willingness to seek Him above all else. This is what will invoke the power of God to manifest to deal with this kind of situation.
