If Your Presence Will Not Go With Us, We Will Not Go

I. Son of Man, grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The presence of God is fundamental to our spiritual and physical development and growth. In the physical world, the authority of the state, a public institution, and security institutions behind an individual influence the behaviour of an appointed person. Moses, acknowledging the power of the presence of God in the life of an individual and a nation, declared, "Lord, if your presence will not go with us, we will not go." This spiritual declaration by Moses speaks directly to our hearts, reminding us of the importance of God's presence in our lives. It reminds us that there is nothing we can do successfully without the presence of God. It is also a reminder that we should seek God's presence daily.

II. Daughter of Zion, Moses had just experienced a dramatic encounter with God on Mount Sinai. God had revealed Himself to Moses in a powerful way, and the experience had transformed Moses. However, as Moses prepared to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land, he realized that he couldn't do it without God's presence. My dear friend, as a leader, you cannot lead on your strength; you cannot rule or manage your home, family, and association without the presence of God. Moses' declaration is a bold statement of faith. Moses declared, God, if you are not going to be with us, we are not going anywhere. Today let us stand on the word of God to invite God to lead us in our daily activities. Moses knew that without God's presence, they would be vulnerable to the challenges and dangers that lay ahead. In the same way, without God’s presence, we will fail. Our failures in the past are sometimes linked to pushing God into the background in our lives. God must lead for us to follow.

III. Mr Beloved Sisters and Dear Brothers, we cannot move ahead of God. Moses' declaration has significant implications for us today. The declaration should remind us that we cannot navigate life's challenges without God's presence and control. We daily need God’s guidance, protection, and empowerment. To attract God’s presence in our lives, we must make time for Him, seek His face, and cultivate a deep sense of awareness of His presence in our lives. With God's presence, we can face any challenge, overcome any obstacle, and achieve great things. In response to Moses' declaration, God makes a promise: my presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. This promise is available to us today. When we prioritize God's presence, His promises will continually be with us. God's presence is not limited to specific times or places. He is always with us, guiding and empowering us. God's presence will always bring us rest, peace, and comfort. Today, remember that you don't have to carry the burdens of life alone.

IV. Dear precious brethren in Christ Jesus, as we reflect on Moses' declaration, we are invited to make a similar declaration in our own lives daily. We are invited to prioritize God's presence, to seek His face, and to cultivate a deep sense of awareness of His presence in our lives. As we go forward, let's remember that God's presence is not just a feeling or an experience. It's a choice. It's a decision to prioritize God above all else. When we choose to prioritize God's presence, we can be confident that He will fulfil His promise. He will be with us always, guiding and empowering us. He will give us rest, peace, and comfort. This is a DIVINE WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT sent forth through the Authority and Power of Christ Jesus and serves the brethren through God's Vessel Francis Ameyibor, Yes! Moses' declaration is a powerful reminder of the importance of God's presence in our lives. As we prioritize God's presence, we can be confident that He will guide us, empower us, and give us rest.

V. 2025 MY YEAR FOR MY STAR TO RISE FOR THE WORLD TO NOTICE—let's make a similar declaration in our own lives, and let's experience the fulfilment of God's promise.

PRAYER: God, as men depend on their earthly defensive forces, I will depend on your WORD, through which the thoughts and intents of the heart of the forces against me will be revealed. LORD, FIGHT WITH THOSE WHO WILL FIGHT AGAINST ME THIS MONTH, through Christ Jesus’ name. Amen!
