Certified sex coach and media personality, Ami Shikah has shared insightful perspectives on intimacy and satisfaction during a discussion on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning.

Speaking with host Asieduwaa Akomeah, she emphasized the importance of emotional connection in achieving true satisfaction in relationships.

“Sex isn’t just about physical pleasure; it’s an emotional and mental connection. If both partners are in tune with each other’s desires, satisfaction follows,” Ami explained.

The conversation was sparked by a viral video featuring Reverend Eastwood Anaba, in which he delved into the importance of foreplay, understanding a partner's emotional and physical needs, and recognizing when a partner reaches their peak in intimacy.

Reverend Anaba highlighted how deeper connection and attentiveness can strengthen marital bonds.

Ami echoed these sentiments, stressing that effective communication, exploration, and patience are vital in the bedroom.

“The truth is, many men struggle with lasting long enough for their partner to experience orgasm, and that’s where understanding and technique come into play,” she said.

She encouraged women to take time to understand their own bodies and desires while urging men to be patient and attentive.

“Sometimes, satisfaction comes from simple gestures like a deep conversation or even sharing a meal. It’s not always about the physical act, but about the bond you create through consistent effort and understanding,” Ami noted.

Reacting to a statistic shared by Reverend Anaba about men often paying for sex while women typically do not, Ami highlighted the role of emotional connection in healthy relationships.

“In healthy relationships, both partners should be invested in each other’s happiness—whether it’s emotional, mental, or physical,” she concluded.
