Apply divine wisdom: Not every action requires reaction

Lifestyle Apply divine wisdom: Not every action requires reaction
MON, 28 OCT 2024

I. Son of Man, grace to all the saints worldwide, and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Beloved, in a world where instant gratification and quick responses are encouraged, it's easy to get caught up in the trap of reacting to every action that comes our way. But as soldiers of Jesus Christ, we must learn to exercise wisdom in restraint, recognizing that not every action requires a reaction. Let us walk by the biblical principles that will help us discern when to act and when to hold back. Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls. We are encouraged to hold back and reflect before we open our mouths. Remember that in the multitude of words, sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise.

II. Daughter of Zion, even though we live in a culture that values quick responses and instant gratification, remember that hasty reactions can lead to regret and harm. Do not forget that the tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is worth little. What value do you place on your tongue and the words that come out of your mouth? The value that you place on your tongue influences the words that come out, especially in response to others. Divine wisdom teaches us to hold back and consider our responses. Is it worth responding? What should be the appropriate response? What is the intent of your response? Beloved, restraint is a sign of strength, not weakness. Are you able to hold back in the face of extreme provocation? Remember that not every action requires a reaction.

III. My Beloved Sisters and My Dear Brothers in the Lord, scripture teaches us that there is a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away. You must understand the times and seasons of God in all circumstances. A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; a time to be silent and a time to speak. There is a time to be silent and a time to speak. Don’t just speak? Refrain from the market square fight. Discerning the moment is a divine virtue. There is a time for everything under the sun. We must discern the moment and act accordingly. Before you act, ask yourself, What will your hearers think about you? Will your reaction edify God or disgrace the name of the Lord whom you serve daily? Will your words bring peace or war? Is it the truth, or is it just to follow the crowd with lies? At all times, remember that you are not lying to men but to the Holy Spirit.

IV. Dearly beloved in the Lord, the Psalmist teaches us that sometimes we must be like a person who is deaf and does not hear. Do not pay attention to all that people say. Don’t listen to every word; sometimes block your ears, and it will help you. To be wise and walk in divine integrity, sometimes be like a person who cannot speak and who does not open his mouth. Be like a man who does not hear and in whose mouth is no response. Is not everyone who deserves a response from you, and is not every action that demands your reaction? Sometimes, the best response is silence. Silence can be a powerful tool in diffusing tension and avoiding unnecessary conflict. This is a DIVINE WORD OF WISDOM sent forth through the Authority and Power of Christ Jesus and serving to the brethren through God's Vessel Francis Ameyibor, Yes! If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

V. 2024 MY YEAR TO ENCOUNTER DIVINE BREAKTHROUGH – We have the freedom to choose our battles and walk away from unnecessary conflict.

PRAYER: Lord, we need your power to help us learn to exercise wisdom in restraint, recognizing that not every action requires a reaction. Lord, give us the discernment to know when to act and when to hold back, and the strength to remain silent when necessary. Let us walk in the freedom of non-engagement and trust in your sovereignty through Jesus Christ’s name - Amen.
