Dr. Samuel Nkansah has been conferred a Doctor of Business Administration by the University of Phoenix in Arizona, USA. Dr. Nkansah holds an Executive MBA in Finance and completed a Doctor of Business Administration in 2020 at the University of Phoenix in Arizona, USA.

The graduation celebration was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic until last weekend when Dr. Nkansah and colleagues were all decorated with their certificates.

Dr. Nkansah's information available to the Communication for Development and Advocacy Consult (CDA Consult) in Tema indicates that his thesis and dissertation were based on "Evaluation of Generic Prescribing Patterns of Physicians in Selected Ghana Health Facilities: A Correlational Methodology."

He stated that a scholarly paper based on this thesis was named "Adherence to a Public Policy on the Use of Generic Medicines in a Developing Country" and was published in the Journal of Generic Medicines in November 2021.

"I am currently the Technical Service Advisor/Consultant to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's Committee for Vaccine Production commissioned in March 2021."

"My role will be to assist the committee in developing a roadmap for vaccine production and manufacturing in Ghana by December 2023."

Dr. Nkansah is currently the technical adviser and consultant hired by GIZ to help the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) update and create capacity so that it can satisfy international vaccine control standards.

"I am the lead consultant for the Total Family Health Organisation (TFHO)-Community Practise Pharmacists' Association (CPPA) project to increase uptake of Covid-19 vaccines in second-cycle and tertiary institutions," he explained.

Dr. Nkansah was the primary consultant for the TFHO-Pharmacy Council in a similar project to improve public awareness about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine through over-the-counter medical services (OTCMS).

He has over 25 years of expertise in the pharmaceutical industry, including sales, marketing, and policy management in the worldwide pharmaceutical market.

He founded Samaholdings Limited and has been advising pharmaceutical businesses and a hospitality organization on business plans for additional West African areas since 2018.

Dr. Nkansah previously worked as the corporate lead for pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline in West Africa, rising through the ranks to manage the company's government affairs wing in West and Central Africa.

This position entailed organizing the roll-out of government affairs throughout the region through interaction with key stakeholders whose responsibilities are critical to our company's long-term viability.

"I oversaw the implementation of government affairs in West Africa." I discovered and developed long-term relationships with important customers in West and Central Africa's Expanded Programme of Immunisation (EPI), resulting in the launch of newer vaccines.

"The primary goal is to include the Penta Vaccine and Rotarix vaccines in the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, and Liberia." This result would not have been possible without Dr. Nkansah's knowledge and understanding of vaccination dynamics.
