From amateur designer to top 1% of BSc Accounting and Finance class

Meet the exceptional UDS graduate who defied convention and took a unique path towards success. Despite entering university two years after completing senior high school, this graduate emerged as one of the top performers in their class. However, their ambitions went beyond the classroom as they pursued a career in graphic design and poetry.

In their first trimester at UDS, they prioritized their creative passions over their academic responsibilities, resulting in a less than stellar performance. But a conversation with their father, who believed his children should always strive to be among the top 1% of their class, challenged them to excel in both their academic work and extracurricular pursuits.

Over the course of four years, this UDS graduate became an active student politician, serving in various capacities including SRC Public Relations Officer. They also organized a successful paid poetry event and championed the Mastermind Campus Super League. Their all-around abilities and dedication led to their emergence as one of the top graduates in the BSc Accounting and Finance program.

But their achievements don't stop there. This graduate founded a fast-growing digital creative agency, Dlight Space, which provides top-notch branding and marketing services to clients. They also won the Coalition for Positive Impact's Igniting Dreams Business Pitch, receiving a cash prize.

This exceptional UDS graduate attributes their success to the support and positivity they received from everyone they interacted with during their time in school. And while they are grateful for their accomplishments, they remain focused on the lessons learned and how they can apply them in their future endeavors.
