Happy Easter Sunday- Have a parable
Growing up I was a Giraffe, tall, strong, I was always a talkative but somehow quiet, gracious and loving. Unfortunately for predators I was easy prey. I really didn't understand as a child whose heart was very innocent why people could be so cruel, even children and why some adults would choose to be cruel. See other prey, Buffalo's and Zebra's kick up quiet a fuss.

However the gentle Giraffe in zoos is seen as the friendly herbivore who gets along with all other animals that eat grass. Unfortunately the unassuming Giraffe learns to be anxious to sounds and dangers, it learns to become defensive: it learns to run quickly at the sound of any threat. It learns to protect itself while aiming to chew from the highest branch. So this figure, tall, graceful, a landmark of landscape was made small because of the impact of predators. Of the almost she survived.

Now animal biologists would tell you a defensive Giraffe with one kick can kill a lion, can kill many other predators. It's just that the giraffe is gentle and minds it's own business and that's not it's normal nature. Yet I learned after getting fed up to pack a powerful kick, my God did it become powerful. Ready to destroy any predator seeking to destroy me first.

Then I met God, and I won't lie it has been and still is one of the most difficult things in my life to learn to let go of that defensive kick and receive God's protection. I still aim to chew from the highest tree and it's been a battle to decide if it's God's tallest tree I want or my own to prove a point. However God has been gracious to me-he understands the journey from prey to defender. I'm grateful he has kept me alive, despite the predators, in sound mind despite the anxiety of danger, and still gives me grace to eat from the highest tree.

To the tall graceful Giraffe his landmark outcast in his landscape. He is the God who truly sees, and she is incredibly grateful for all he has done for her. What's your testimony and if he's done it for this defensive former defenseless Giraffe he will do it for you too. Happy Easter Sunday.
