Miss Dorothy Baffuor Awuah, a lecturer at Valley View University's Accra campus has clocked another year today, October 14 with a gracious birthday celebration.

Born and raised in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, Ghana, the vibrant woman had her basic education at the Prince of Peace International School in Kumasi and thereafter moved to the Agona Seventh Day Adventists (SDA) secondary school for her second cycle education.

Despite the biases of the time, she was one of the few women who had a stronger passion for education.

She continued her education in the Philippines, where she obtained her bachelor's degree from the Adventist University of the Philippines.

Miss Bawuah continued her education at St. Louis University in Baguio, Philippines, where she obtained her second bachelor's degree in nursing and midwifery.

She is currently impacting healthcare knowledge at the Valley View School of Nursing and Midwifery as a registered and certified nurse.

She joined the TIME TO THINK FOUNDATION as one of the Board of Directors as a mother of two with a larger heart, specifically as a woman who feels happy seeing other brilliant but less privileged children thrive.

On this special day, students and staff at Valley View University, as well as members of the larger community who have benefited greatly from her exceptional personal and good heart, are showering her with kind words.

One of the wishes seen by Modernghana News by a loved one, reads, “Happy birthday, Ma. My hope is to be an amazing role model for my own family one day, as you have been for everyone who has come around you in love. Your love is the best."
