" Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength"
[Nehemiah 8:10] KJV
On the command of Nehemiah, the Israelites gathered to listen to a message from the Scribe, Ezra.
Ezra read God's message to them and they became worried and wept. Nehemiah had to console them to eat, drink and send portions remained to those in need.
When you hear the word of God what comes into mind? Weeping or celebration?
Beloved, the word of God shouldn't make us weep but rather excited. God wants us to celebrate His word so that His strength may continually be with us always.
But where we go contrary to His will, let's confess our sins so that we may be restored.
The Word of God comes to edify and heal us from pain not to make us weep.
So celebrate His word and receive His unending favor now and forever in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
Therefore weep not at God's word rather celebrate His Word.
God bless you.
O Lord of Host, empower us to grow stronger and powerful according to your standards in Jesus' name, Amen.
