5 Reasons Why Your Online Business Isn’t Growing

5 Reasons Why Your Online Business Isnt Growing
11.12.2018 LISTEN

I took time out to do a little research on ‘online businesses’, since they have become a trend in our society.

Nowadays, businesses can either fail or succeed based off of how well they do on the internet. You may have an online business, or a component of your business is online, but either way, your sales online dramatically affects your business growth.

The world today is filled with unparalleled access to the internet. There are lots of opportunities, but there is also a lot of competition.

Entrepreneurs welcome competition because it keeps us on our toes. However, if we are going to turn leads into customers, we have to stand out.

There are many distractions and voices that claim to have strategies and tactics that will help your online business. There’s some mediocre advice and some downright dangerous advice. If your business has stopped growing online, it may be because of one or all of these five reasons.

You do not have the right lead magnet
A Lead Magnet is an irresistible bribe offering a specific chunk of value to a prospect in exchange for their contact information. The goal of the Lead Magnet is to maximize the number of targeted leads you are getting for an offer. Many businesses say they are selling a particular product, however, they have failed to give customers reasons why they should buy their products. Not every company that says they offer quality actually offers quality. Customers take note of this.

You have not outlined your customer avatar
A customer avatar is a fictional character that represents your ideal prospect. When complete, it will help you understand the motivating beliefs, fears, and secret desires that influence your customer’s buying decisions. Before starting an online business, you MUST know your ideal customers. A lot of businesses today have ignored their customer avatar. I was talking to a customer who sells corporate wears and she said she was targeting females from 15-60. This is a perfect example of a person who doesn’t know her ideal customer.

You have ignored the concept of digital marketing

At a high level, digital marketing refers to advertising delivered through digital channels such as search engines, websites, social media, email, and mobile apps. While this term covers a wide range of marketing activities, all of which are not universally agreed upon, the common types are paid. We’ll focus on the most common types below.

Many of online business owners today believe all they need is to just focus on their social media management, and their business would be fine. To grow a successful business, you need to take advantage of digital marketing. It is totally okay to run Facebook ads to grow your brand. Sometimes you should also take advantage of the paid Google ads. It helps reach millions of customers all over the world. There are digital agencies like Image Boosters that are can help business owners struggling to convert online

You are relying too heavily on social media
Social media is the greatest marketing tool; it can also make or break our businesses. Thousands of businesses rely on social media. I believe that businesses can probably benefit from a social media presence, but knowing how much time to invest will require a lot of trial and error. Know how much time you are investing in social media and how much return your business is gaining because of that investment.

Social media is important, but not so important that it should take significant time away from proven revenue building work.

You are too focused on selling your products instead of building relationships with your customers

A lot of online businesses are there just to sell their products, but really is it all about selling? We should all take advantage of our comment section and our direct messages. It isn’t just meant for customers to ask for the price of our products or how the products work, businesses should try as much as possible to make customers feel like they are part of their brands. REMEMBER! Customers are key.

I hope this article puts somethings into place and helps you see why your brand is not where you want it to be or where it should be. You might be making these mistakes yourself.
