It is that time and age for all men learn to cook. That’s encouragement from Superintendent Minister for Bantama Methodist Church of Ghana in Kumasi.

Very Reverend Samuel Kwaku Poku says it is bad for men who cannot prepare food for themselves and family.

He observes only few urban men in Ghana can manage it in the kitchen, indicating there are good reasons for men to master their culinary skills.

Very Reverend Poku spoke at the Methodist Women’s Fellowship mentorship programme for girls in the Bantama Circuit in Kumasi.

President of the women’s fellowship¸ Abena Amoah Gyamfua says, the event is the fulfillment of God’s will to do charity.

Soup Kitchen as the name implies provided opportunity to learn to prepare local dishes.

There is something uniquely attractive about men who can make lip-smacking meal for their women.

Well, Very Reverend Poku says cooking at home by men means healthy eating and relief for wives.

For men to learn the art of cooking they must learn the rice-to-water ratio; know when rice is cooked and when vegetables are ready. At the end of the event, five needy girls were also selected to be catered for by the church. Out of the five, one of them, eighteen-year-old Junior High School graduate whose aim was to learn a trade would be supported
