Young, Rich And Stupid!

During the last quarter of 2009, I had more than $24K at my disposal, and did not know what to do with it. I upgraded from living in a shack in the slums to living in a block room apartment. I bought fine clothes and shoes---all stuff I did not have.

I ate all the food most broke, no-money-having ass niggas hunger for. I never bought a car, neither did I ever spend on anything extravagant. But still, I wasted money, mostly on the basic things that I lacked, and by somewhere 2012, the last of that money was gone.

I did not look farther ahead into the future. And when eventually I did, I was too scared and too hesitant to take on the bigger things that could have landed me greater accomplishments today. Almost a decade later, I am broke and stuck with some boring job, and my low-income-earning self is ripe with a tonne of ideas, but without capital for a start-up.

Now, you live in a rented single room self contained apartment, drive around in a 2015 Toyota Corolla, have no established business of any kind, and yet, you claim to be self-made?! Self-made from what?! Where is your substance?! I know people who live in their own houses at Trassaco and the AU Village, who will never claim to be self-made, though they are filthy rich.

Alikoto Dangote has never claimed to be self-made. Strive Masiwiya has never said in any of his posts that he is self-made. But you, the empty barrel, with the little coins in your purse, is the one making the most noise, instead of pushing to raise your boundaries.

In a few years, you will be broke and miserable; car sold, furniture and TV too. Why spend lavishly when you could invest in your future, the benefits of which could be immense?! If for nothing at all, do it for your children, so that one day, they may live comfortably.

$24K is nothing. I know a nigga who blew $700K in just under 6 months, and the only good thing that came out of all that spending are children he cannot even take care of right now.

With that kind of money, that nigga could have been set for life, and his family could have been set for generations to come had he looked towards business and investment opportunities.

The thing is, I do not feel sorry for such niggas. But I do feel sorry for those unemployed no-job-loving women who follow these people around, and end up being single parents with children by them.

If you are one, I am telling you---your future is bleak. That iPhone 7 he bought you will not put food on the table for you when he goes broke. But soon enough, you will recognize your needs. And when he is broke, you are going to leave him for another rich man, just to maintain your extravagant lifestyle.
