Praye performing on stage The deafening and thunderous applause, yells, screams and standing ovation that greeted the splendid performance by Praye during the annual Joy FM's Nite with the Stars last weekend sent only one signal; that the group is the hottest and the most sought after in the country today.

Although, most of the artistes on the bill gave a good account of themselves, the general consensus amongst many of the patrons at the end of the show was that Praye came up tops.

Praye, is made up of three members, Eugene Baah, aka Praye Ho Ne Ho, Steven Fiawoo, aka Praye Tiatia and Nana Kwame, aka Praye Tenten.

Indeed, it was a sheer splendour to behold the wonderful performance of the sensational hiplife trio as they kept dishing out one popular track after the other whilst the audience danced throughout and even asked for more when their time was over.

Praye virtually set the venue on fire when they did the most popular song in the country today; ANGELINA.

Many patrons who spoke to the Beatwaves were impressed with the professional manner, the hiplife trio carried themselves.

From their costume, their vocal abilities, their splendid stagecraft and general discipline from beginning to the end.

Praye recently signed onto the EKB Records, one of the nation's leading record labels and the managers of the sensational Afro-pop artiste Becca and Adina of Stars of the Future fame.

In an interview, Praye expressed their joy and happiness at the opportunity to work with EKB Records, saying they had always looked forward to working with a professional and well managed label which can help them exploit their untapped musical potential.

“We are ready not only to take this country be storm but also go beyond our shores and to rub shoulders with the best out there. And we hope our association with EKB is the beginning of better things to come”

The three started the group and adopted the name 'Praye' which means 'broom' an indigenous symbol of unity in the Ghanaian community, reflecting their belief in combining their different and unique talents that have been harnessed to make them one of the most entertaining group in Africa.

The members group formed during the maiden edition of the Nescafe African Revelations won the National Championship and the African Revelation Championship as representative of Ghana and at the final event of west and central Africa.

Their maiden album, Mfitiatse, with the hit track 'Shordy' topped the Music Charts in Ghana for several weeks.

Besides the fame they've enjoyed in their home country, they've also made outstanding achievements within a year in their music career, some of which are, winning a prestigious KORA award for being the best group in West Africa. By George Clifford Owusu In the 2006 Ghana Music Awards Festival, they were adjudged the New Artiste of the Year. Their song “Shordy” also wants the New Hiplife song of the year.
