American actor Harris Yulin

Veteran American actor Harris Yulin has passed on at the age of 87 due to cardiac arrest.

He died on June 10, 2025, in New York City.
Yulin was known for his iconic roles in films like "Scarface" and "Ghostbusters II".

His manager, Sue Leibman, confirmed his death in a statement, highlighting his dedication to the craft of acting.

Yulin had a distinguished career in film and television, appearing in notable projects such as "Training Day", "Ozark", and "The Place Beyond the Pines".

He also showcased his versatility as an actor on stage, playing the lead role in "Death of a Salesman". At the time of his death, Yulin was set to star in the MGM+ series "American Classic" alongside Kevin Kline and Laura Linney.

In his personal life, Yulin was married to actress Gwen Welles until her death in 1993 and later to Kristen Lowman. He had a notable relationship with Faye Dunaway, his co-star in the 1971 Western "Doc". Yulin is survived by his wife Kristen Lowman, son-in-law Ted Mineo, nephew Martin Crane, and godchildren Marco and Lara Greenberg. He was predeceased by his daughter, actress Claire Lucido.

Director Michael Hoffman praised Yulin, saying, "He will always remain the beating heart of our show". Fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to Yulin, appreciating his performances in projects like "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine".
