The late Ghanaian TikTok star Philipa Yaa Baby tragically died after being accidentally shot by her boyfriend, GH Kobby.

According to reports, the incident occurred on June 10, 2025, in Yeji, when GH Kobby discharged a pump-action rifle while attempting to fire warning shots.

Unfortunately, one of the shots hit Yaa Baby in the arm, causing excessive bleeding that led to her death shortly after arrival at St. Mathias Hospital.

A friend of Yaa Baby's revealed that she had previously advised Yaa to stay away from Kobby, citing his womanizing ways of dating multiple girls at the same time. The friend's warnings went unheeded, and Yaa Baby's life was cut short in a tragic accident.

Yaa Baby was just 20 years old at the time of her death, barely a month shy of her 21st birthday. Her family expressed outrage and grief over her passing, with some members accusing GH Kobby of being a negative influence in their daughter's life.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation, with reports indicating that GH Kobby was with two other young men during the ill-fated visit, traveling in an unregistered vehicle.
