Fast-rising music promoter Ananzo Official has shared his inspiring journey of using car washing to fund his senior high school education.
Now popularly known as the “washing bay promoter,” Ananzo said he has been washing cars since completing Junior High School in 2015.
Speaking on the Matters Day podcast, Ananzo revealed that he worked at a washing bay while attending SHS as a day student, using the income to support his education.
“The washing bay actually took me to SHS. I was a day student, so I used the job to sponsor myself. I’m still doing it,” he said.
He explained that his breakthrough as a music promoter came in 2024 after posting a viral video promoting King Paluta’s hit song Makoma.
Ananzo added that he spends about two days learning a song’s lyrics and rhythm before recording and sharing his promotional videos.
Meanwhile, Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Davido is one of the many artistes who have appreciated his work, with the superstar promising him $5,000 for promoting his music.
According to Ananzo, after Davido reposted his video, his following on social media increased from about 91,000 to over 600,000, particularly on TikTok.
