Stonebwoy, the award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artist, has extended his congratulations to King Promise on winning the Artiste of the Year award at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

King Promise beat off competition from notable artists including Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, Black Sheriff, King Paluta, Team Eternity, and Kweku Smoke to take home the coveted award.

In a heartfelt post, Stonebwoy wrote, "Congratulations King Promise on your win and on your debut entry into the league of AOTY winners. You're Welcome."

This gesture showcases the sportsmanship and camaraderie between the two artists, who have previously competed for the top spot.

King Promise's win marks a significant milestone in his career, and he expressed gratitude to his fans during his acceptance speech. "I just want to say a big thank you to the best fans in the world. If anyone is watching me right now has a dream, use me as an example of resilience," he said, recalling how he was once mocked for not winning any awards despite having seven nominations.

King Promise also took home other notable awards, including Best Afropop Song of the Year for "Paris", Best Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste of the Year, and Album of the Year for "True to Self." Stonebwoy won awards in his category, including Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year for "Psalm 23," and Best Music Video of the Year for "Jejereje."
