UK-based Ghanaian musician Reggie Zippy has taken to social media in a raw and emotional outpouring, accusing his ex-wife, Edith Ward, of what he describes as relentless emotional “torture” following their divorce.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Reggie Zippy opened up about the strain he continues to endure in his efforts to be present in the lives of his children. He expressed frustration over what he views as calculated efforts to turn his children against him, despite his attempts to maintain peace and heal broken bonds after their separation.

“Maybe when I speak Twi or any other Ghanaian language, her amazing mother, step-sister, and aunties will have the courage to tell her to stop turning my children against me after every effort I’ve made to make things right even after our divorce,” he wrote, suggesting a broader family dynamic contributing to the emotional fallout.

Reggie spoke candidly about the toll that parental alienation and defamation have taken on him, saying he has endured in silence for too long. Now, he feels compelled to share his side of the story.

“Feel free to mock and vilify me, at least I spoke the truth of my reality before my last breath, it gets to a point where a man has no other choice than to speak his truth before dying in silence due to parental alienation and character assassination,” he stated, hinting at the deep emotional wounds he continues to carry.

Although he said he has come to terms with his own life, what remains most painful, according to him, is the continued interference in his relationship with his children.

“I am alright with my own life but the continual sabotage of my children’s love for me despite all efforts to salvage and protect the peace and calm seem to always blast in my face,” he admitted, adding that his every attempt to rebuild has been met with resistance.

Reggie Zippy also expressed concern about the future and the way his story might be told when he is no longer around. He fears that in his absence, only distorted versions of his life will survive.

“The lies and fabrications that would be spewed against me when I am gone make me want to tell my own story and history before it’s too late because I don’t have anyone to publicly defend my name apart from Sally Mann and some of my immediate relatives,” he said.

The artist’s confessional post has sparked conversations online, with many expressing sympathy and calling for empathy and support for fathers navigating post-divorce struggles.

You are in an extremely challenging and complex circumstance. Although you stated that your wife does not want you to visit the kids, you did not specify if this was a court order. If the court has not ruled, attempt to find a lawyer who can arrange for you to see the kids while they are under your ex-wife's custody. You did mention that you want to speak before you die. I don't understand that part, do you mean taking own life? You shouldn't even think about that since your kids will be deva...
