Ghanaian singer and songwriter Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome, professionally known as Cina Soul, has revealed her preference when it comes to choosing a partner.
The songstress stated that she cannot date or marry a fellow musician, as it would create a one-dimensional relationship experience.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based JoyPrime’s Prime Morning, she explained that she prefers partners from different professions, such as doctors, who would bring fresh perspectives and diverse life experiences.
“I feel like artiste-to-artiste is someway. It could work for some people, but for me, I want someone with a different story. I want us to come back home and talk about things like, ‘How was the hospital? Oh, how was court? How was the bank?’ Not every day, ‘Okay, the studio…’ We’ll all talk about the same thing. I just want something different,” she said.
When asked whether dating outside the music industry would be boring, she disagreed.
“I don’t think it will be boring. You’ll have so many stories. I think he’ll be like, ‘This person did this, and then I saved a life…’ I feel it will be very interesting,” she noted.
Meanwhile, in a separate interview with Kula on the Headless YouTuber channel, Cina Soul admitted that if circumstances required her to marry a Ghanaian artiste, she would choose KiDi.
Cina Soul is currently on a media tour promoting her debut album, 'Did I Lie', from which she has released two songs: 'Larger Than Life', featuring Stonebwoy, and 'Too Bad'.
