Shatta Wale fires at former Finance Minister in new song "betting tax"

Shatta Wale fires at former Finance Minister in new song betting tax

Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has taken a strong stance against former Finance Minister Dr. Amin Adam, releasing a song titled "Betting Tax" to criticize his recent statements regarding the controversial tax policy.

The outspoken musician, known for his fearless approach to national issues, shared a link to the song on his social media page, writing, "Ghanaians are tired of the lies... common sense should tell these leaders that they come and go."

Shatta Wale's latest move comes in response to Dr. Amin Adam’s assertion that the government never collected betting tax.

"Betting tax, which they said they have abolished, we never collected betting tax. So, to come and tell Ghanaians that you have abolished something that you have not implemented is to deceive the people of Ghana," the former Minister stated at a press conference.

Unimpressed by these remarks, Shatta Wale took to social media once again, posting a video of Dr. Amin Adam denying the claims, with a fiery caption: "Hey hey shut up there, shut up shut up there, Liar, Judas!"

The "On God" hitmaker also extended his gratitude to newly elected President John Dramani Mahama, whose administration yesterday announced the removal of the betting tax in the latest budget.

"Thanks to our newly elected president John Mahama for helping the youth of Ghana. Don't stop thinking about the country first... love always... #oneghana #onepeople," he wrote.
