Gospel musician and staunch New Patriotic Party (NPP) member, Diana Asamoah, has urged party supporters to remain steadfast in their faith and trust in God despite their defeat in the December 7 elections.
Speaking in an interview on Angel FM, the evangelist encouraged party members to see the situation as an opportunity to grow stronger in their faith and remain hopeful for better days.
“If you lose or win the election, try as much as possible to put your trust in God. By His grace, nothing will shake us because it’s still possible, and it’s still NPP. All I want to tell you this morning is to put your trust in God; anytime I lost, I became stronger because I knew that God is not a one-way being,” she said.
Addressing both NPP and NDC supporters, Diana Asamoah highlighted the importance of divine favor in navigating political and personal challenges.
She warned against placing undue trust in political systems without relying on God’s grace.
“I also want to tell those whose party is in power to put their hope in Christ and work hard. If you put all your trust in your party, you will be inactive, and before you know it, you will find yourself in opposition,” she stated.
The gospel artist further emphasized that success and blessings ultimately depend on God’s grace.
“A government can be in power, but without the grace of God, you won’t receive the favor of men. However, when God’s favor is upon you, you will receive His mercy. As long as we are alive, we will eat from both sides,” she remarked.
