Wanderlust Ghana halts 30,000-Kilometre expedition, vehicles identified as stolen from Canada

Wanderlust Ghana, a renowned travel group celebrated for its bold road expeditions, has temporarily suspended its ongoing 30,000-kilometre journey.

The group made the announcement through a press release on Thursday, November 28th, explaining the reasons behind the unexpected halt.

The suspension follows claims that two of the vehicles involved in the adventure were flagged as stolen after the group arrived in Congo. The vehicles in question, a 2016 Lexus RX 350 and a 2018 Toyota Tacoma were reportedly identified as stolen items from Canada, leading to the immediate suspension of the trip.

In response to the allegations, Wanderlust Ghana has vehemently denied any wrongdoing. The group insists that the vehicles were lawfully acquired from reputable dealers and remains confident that they acted in good faith. Wanderlust Ghana has expressed its full willingness to cooperate with authorities to investigate the matter and clear its name.

In addition, the group has taken legal action against the car dealers involved in the transactions, seeking to hold them accountable for any potential misconduct.

Wanderlust Ghana is hoping that the situation will be resolved quickly, allowing them to continue their journey and reaffirm their dedication to bringing people closer through travel expeditions.
