Renowned gospel musician, Piesie Esther, has shared advice for her fellow female gospel artistes on the importance of dressing modestly while maintaining a polished appearance.
In an interview on Accra-based 3FM Drive, on November 19, Piesie Esther spoke about the impact of attire on public perception and how it can influence the attention one receives.
The celebrated gospel artist emphasized that the right dressing could play a significant role in drawing people to you, without compromising modesty.
“The reason is that it adds some focus to you. It draws some people to come closer to you. Some people may not be able to come close to you but your dressing can even bring them close,” she said.
Piesie Esther made it clear that there is no harm in looking good while adhering to a modest dress code.
“You don’t have to expose your body but look good because the way you dress is how you will be addressed,” she stated.
The gospel star also addressed the negativity sometimes encountered on social media, particularly from those who may seek to undermine her or others in the industry.
“I have realized that some of these people who post the comments on social media have been paid to do what they are doing just to bring you down. Some of the comments, you ask why the person is writing this when you are doing your work and promoting your work,” she shared.
Despite the online criticism, Piesie Esther expressed a calm and focused approach, encouraging her colleagues not to be deterred.
“So, I don’t see the reason to bother myself and follow such people. I will just let it go and be focused on what I am doing. I will just let it go,” she noted.
