I'd shake things up, inspire other MP wives if… — Empress Gifty

Gospel singer Empress Gifty has shared how she would make an impact if her husband was a Member of Parliament.

In an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes show with Roselyn Felli, she remarked that many MPs' wives miss opportunities to leverage their position to make a difference.

“I would have utilized the MP wife role and made the other MP wives wake up,” Empress Gifty said, noting that she’d encourage them to take on more public responsibilities.

“People don’t even know most of them, and there are a lot of responsibilities they can do with that mandate given to her husband,” she added.

Addressing why she has not recently joined her husband Hopeson Adorye on the campaign trail, Empress Gifty explained that she prefers to support him through prayer and focus on her own career.

She emphasized that while she strongly supports his ambitions, she also wants to contribute financially by working hard to grow her ministry.

Empress Gifty, married to the politician for five years, confidently hinted that she could one day become the wife of an MP or even a president, encouraging others to “not be surprised” if it happens.
