Renowned Ghanaian reggae and Afro-roots musician Rocky Dawuni has made history once again by securing his fourth Grammy nomination, solidifying his status as Ghana’s most Grammy-nominated artist.
The Recording Academy announced that Rocky Dawuni’s track, Rise, has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 Grammy Awards in the Best Global Music Performance category.
The 2025 nomination follows a notable series of Grammy nods that have punctuated Rocky Dawuni’s career.
In 2022, his album Voice of Bunbon Vol. 1 was nominated for Best Global Music Album, while his sixth studio album, Branches of the Same Tree, earned a nomination for Best Reggae Album in 2015.
