AMAA apologizes for logistical and ticketing issues

The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) has issued an apology to its esteemed guests following logistical challenges and ticketing issues that resulted in some attendees missing their flights to the event.

In a statement released today, Judith Oluwole Kuwornu, AMAA’s West Africa/Country Director, expressed sincere regret over the inconvenience caused. “We understand the stress and disruption this has caused, and we deeply apologize for the experience,” Kuwornu wrote. “At AMAA, we strive to offer a seamless and enjoyable experience for all our guests, both international and local, and we regret that in certain instances, we fell short.”

The event, which celebrates African excellence in filmmaking, attracted attendees from across the continent. However, due to unforeseen logistical challenges, some international guests faced significant disruptions that hindered their timely participation.

AMAA management assured guests that they are committed to resolving these issues moving forward. “We will thoroughly review our logistics and ticketing processes in collaboration with our AMAA agents to ensure a smoother experience for all future events,” Kuwornu confirmed.

The statement concluded with a heartfelt appreciation of the attendees’ understanding and support, emphasizing that the comfort and satisfaction of their guests remain a top priority.
