Popular Ghanaian comedian Bismark Odoi, known by his stage name Bismark the Joke, has issued a statement denying allegations of having an affair with the baby mama of fellow comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, also known as Funny Face.

In his statement released on Thursday, September 12, Bismark addressed "unfounded and speculative allegations" that have been circulating suggesting his involvement in a sexual relationship with Funny Face's former spouse.

"These claims are categorically false and baseless. From the beginning, I chose not to respond to these allegations, as I understood that my colleague was facing mental health challenges,” reads his statement in part.

Bismark went on to say: "Out of respect for his situation, I refrained from engaging in what I believed was a personal matter that did not warrant public attention."

However, he says the continued spread of the rumors has harmed his reputation both personally and professionally.

“The allegations have affected my family, friends, and business partners, all of whom know the values I stand for and the integrity with which I conduct myself," his statement read.

Bismark stressed, "Let me be clear: there is absolutely no truth to these accusations."

He affirmed his commitment to upholding "the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all aspects of my life."

The statement closes by expressing hope that "these matters can be put to rest" and that Funny Face receives needed support during this difficult time.
