Highlife musician Dada Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada KD, has faced intense criticism following comments he made that are deemed disrespectful to Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

In a Facebook post dated September 4, 2024, Dada KD referred to Prof. Opoku-Agyemang as a grandmother and criticized her fashion sense.

He included a photo of her, seemingly taken at a National Democratic Congress (NDC) event, to emphasize his point.

"Isn’t there something they can do about Grandma’s fashion choices? Wow, let me mind my business and move on! I know the insults will follow, but we’re used to the daily barrage," wrote the artist, known for his hit song "Fatia Fata Nkrumah."

Among the many who reprimanded him in the comments, Sunu Desmond Larry Hoover remarked: "You’re above this kind of politics, bro. Stay focused and strong."

Media figure Caleb Nii Boye questioned, "Big man, what should she wear? Skin-tight or show cleavage? Let’s rise above this level of politics."

Nana Yaa Akyere Mensah responded by daring Dada KD to "post your grandmother, let’s see," while adding, "You clearly lack basic sense!! Panyin toto."

Blessed Lillian accused the veteran singer of being influenced by the government, writing, "You're benefiting from this government, so you've lost your mind. People like you should never be allowed near power again. Shame on you and anyone who thinks like you."
