Popular Ghanaian actress and social media influencer Efia Odo has vented her frustration with the country's worsening economic situation and the failure of political leaders to address citizens' concerns.
In a lengthy social media post on Thursday, August 29, Efia Odo lamented the rising cost of living in Ghana, declaring that Ghanaians now need at least three streams of income just to get by.
“Everything is increasing and there's literally nothing we can do about it," she wrote.
While citizens struggle under increasing financial burdens, the socialite accused the country's leaders of being more focused on deceiving the populace than tackling the root causes of economic hardships.
"Forget our leaders, their main objective is to lie and prey on our hopes," stated Efia Odo, a vocal critic of the recent government.
The economic situation in Ghana continues to deteriorate, with rising costs of living making it extremely difficult for many citizens to make ends meet.
Meanwhile, political party candidates have begun making promises to alleviate the hardships should they win the upcoming December 7, 2024 elections.
