I was hoping that the pre-final show for the Stars of the Future singing competition would take viewers through an experience that would linger throughout the week and solicit votes for the various contestants. Instead the producers came up with a ridiculous karaoke show that really did nothing for the chances of the male contestants in particular. The jukebox or karaoke machine was terribly slow and the sing-along effect was heavily flawed. Even Bibie Brew looked pale when she did her number, but being the pro that she is, she managed it very well. In fact Ike and Danny's duet was so bad that their performance was cut short. I wonder what picture this paints in the minds of the voting public.
The girls were however brilliant, but their diva tendencies set in as they clearly tried to outshine each other. On a whole, the karaoke night was full of fun particularly when members of the audience tried to mount the stage as well. Nii Ayite Hammond from Charter House couldn't sing to save his life. The most memorable effort came from Chris Attoh, Joejo Asabir and Aboagye. I think they should form a boy-band and call themselves Men-2-Boys. Haha! Anyway I believe the finale is going to be a cracker and I can't wait to see who come up tops. I still maintain that the top three are Adina, Anita and Danny. May the best contestants win!
