Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur has threatened legal action against actress and socialite Efia Odo, claiming she has been making untrue statements about him publicly.
In a series of post on X on Friday, August 9, the singer said it was "disheartening to see so many people oblivious to someone constantly using my name for clout, a story line and attention with allegations and scenarios."
He appeared to reference comments Efia Odo made on a podcast aired Wednesday in which she claimed the rapper hurt her after having a romantic affair with her.
On the 'Rants, Bants and Confessions' podcast, Efia Odo said "Kwesi did some hurtful things to me. I don’t want to say it here because I respect him as a person.
“If I were to say the things he did to me, it would really dirty his image. When everything ended, I stopped the support because why would I keep supporting someone who has f*cked me over?”
She continued: “it’s so funny that when he and I stopped being friends, and he left his label, Ground Up, that’s when his career dwindled and they gave me this tag as a bad luck.”
The former Ground Up signee hit back in the posts, saying "Not speaking again on this matter. Anything else said about me will be discussed with my lawyer and handled in court. Stop playing with me."
