Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison the Kirikiri Correctional Centre after serving a six-month sentence.
Bobrisky was incarcerated for abusing the naira by spraying it at parties, a practice deemed illegal under Nigerian law.
Bobrisky's sentence, handed down on April 12, 2024, by Justice Abimbola Awogboro, included no option for a fine, mandating the full term of imprisonment.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Bobrisky was seen with Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao, expressing joy and relief at being free again.
"I’ve missed you guys so much. I can’t wait to have you guys and give you guys what you have missed," Bobrisky said in the video, hinting at a return to the spotlight and renewed engagement with fans.
