I want to get married, I fear being alone — Efia Odo 'dying' over loneliness

Ghanaian socialite Efia Odo has opened up about her desire to get married, expressing her fear of being alone.

In an interview with 3 Music TV, Efia Odo shared her longing to find a soulmate and settle down, highlighting her dream of a perfect union when reacting to a question by the host, Jay Foley.

“Of course, I want to get married. Who doesn’t want to have that one person that they can be with for the rest of their life, share moments with, and grow old together? I don’t want to be alone,” she revealed.

Efia Odo also described her ideal wedding as an intimate affair, involving only close family and friends, preferably in a foreign location.

Born Andrea Owusu, Efia Odo hails from Juaben in the Ashanti region. She previously lived in the United States, working as an assistant nurse, but returned to Ghana to pursue her true passions in acting and music.

She has since become a prominent figure in the entertainment scene, a career path she described as unplanned.

In a social media post last year, Efia Odo advised young people against chasing love, suggesting it often leads to settling for less.

She shared that she had endured toxic relationships due to a lack of self-love.

“Don’t look for love. Let love find you because I was in that space where I wasn’t looking for love. I was done with men. But then love found me. So don’t go looking for love. Let love naturally find you. Sometimes, because you are looking and want it so bad, you settle for anything that comes your way,” she said at the time.

She emphasized the importance of self-love, revealing that her desire for love had previously blinded her to the point of settling for much less than she deserved.
