Popular Ghanaian Gospel artiste Broda Sammy has shared his unconventional approach to spreading the gospel, expressing his readiness to perform at drinking spots and nightclubs if invited.
Speaking on TV3's Showbiz 360, Broda Sammy emphasised that he does not discriminate against anyone based on their faith.
He stated, "I don't look at people and say they are non-believers, so I won't work with them. I see them as people. That's all."
He revealed that many churches have denied him the opportunity to perform, prompting him to seek out alternative venues.
"If a drinking spot or a nightclub invites me to perform, I will go. If any secular artiste invites me, I will go. I take the opportunity to spread the word anywhere," he explained.
Broda Sammy highlighted that nightclubs and drinking spots are ideal locations for evangelism, as they attract individuals who may not typically attend church or believe in God.
"If I go to church, I know that everyone there is there to listen to the gospel. But those at the nightclubs are not there for such; that is where I go to win souls," he said.
Criticising traditional methods of evangelism, Broda Sammy questioned why some Christians preach in markets but shy away from nightclubs.
"They don't know how to win souls. Pastors can go to markets to preach, so why can't they go to drinking spots or nightclubs? Even if the devil has changed his strategy, why can't we change ours? The clubs where people are going to sin should be the places we should go and conduct praises and worship," he asserted.
