Media personality and marriage counselor, Maame Yeboah Asiedu, has opened up once again about her divorce, sharing insights into her unexpected journey.
In an interview shared on Marigyata's Instagram page, Maame Yeboah, a staunch advocate against divorce, revealed that she never imagined she would experience divorce herself.
"If I thought that I would ever be divorced, then I would be lying to you because anyone who knows me is aware that I am very much against divorce, and it is not in my plans," she stated.
She explained that despite her strong stance against divorce, the will of God prevailed over her plans.
"But, as the saying goes, the thoughts of man are many, but the will of God is what will be established. We can always plan and plot, but the word and will of God are what will be established. I never thought I would be divorced, but I was divorced," Maame Yeboah said.
Maame Yeboah previously disclosed that her decision to divorce her husband after almost 20 years of marriage was influenced by his action to annul the marriage in court, a move she strongly opposed but was powerless to prevent.
She also addressed public criticisms, defending her stance and actions as a counselor.
"I rebuff claims made by some members of the public that I do not practice what I preach after speaking vehemently against divorce. It was not my decision to divorce," she emphasized.
