Vote right, don't be selfish - Trigmatic to Ghanaians

Vote right, dont be selfish - Trigmatic to Ghanaians

Renowned Ghanaian musician Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei, popularly known as Trigmatic, has made an impassioned plea to Ghanaians ahead of the December 7 elections.

Speaking in a recent interview on Class 91.3 FM’s Class Morning Show (CMS) with host Prince Benjamin (PB), Trigmatic emphasized the importance of prioritizing the nation’s welfare over individual and partisan interests when heading to the polls.

“Come to the voting booth assessing the country and do not be selfish. A lot of times we tend to be selfish when it comes to deciding as a country – individuals just think about their personal benefits only: ‘When I’m hungry today, I complain. When I’m not, I don’t talk about it,’” Trigmatic stated, urging voters to adopt a broader perspective.

Highlighting the need to move beyond partisan loyalty, he continued, “Go beyond partisan love and all the fanatics. I know you guys are there, but what’s important is Ghana. It’s Ghana first.”

The award-winning singer-songwriter and rapper also stressed the significance of exercising voting rights responsibly, urging citizens to make informed decisions based on the current state of the country. “Speak with your thumb and exercise your rights,” he admonished, emphasizing the power of the vote.

Trigmatic posed thought-provoking questions to voters, encouraging them to reflect on the country’s leadership and the potential for change. “You know what’s going on, you know the challenges in the country. Do you think leadership is doing the best? Do you think they are not? What’s happening on the ground? Do you think the opposition will bring the change? Those are things you need to look at,” he advised.
