Award-winning Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo has expressed frustration over the limited movie roles she has received this year.
In a social media post, she cried out to producers and directors to remember her and give her movie roles because she is “getting bored”.
According to her, she is affordable and ready to play all roles, appealing to producers to consider trying her in their movies.
“I think I am getting bored. I have done only two productions this whole year: ‘Yaa Basabasa’ on YouTube and one movie produced by Steve Ekeso.
“Where are the producers and directors? Forgotten about me? I’m a versatile actor oo. I can do it all. Or you say you want new faces? Or you can’t pay me? Try me,” she wrote.
"How many of the old faces do you producers and directors cast anyway? 80% ain’t working. What is going on? Shoutout to all the producers holding us down. The industry needs you. Keep going,” she added.
Beverly Afaglo, who is also an entrepreneur, has starred in numerous films such as 'I love you But', 'Return of Beyonce, 'Crime to Christ', 'Never Again', 'Single Six', 'Bachelors', 'The King's Bride', 'A Northern Affair', 'The Game' and 'Sidechic Gang.'
She won Best Actress in Comedy at the 2010 Terracotta Awards in Nigeria and has earned several other nominations.
