Popular Nigerian singer Olubankole Wellington, widely known as Banky W, has survived his fourth surgery to remove cancerous tumours from his skin.

The artist took to Instagram on Thursday, May 23, to provide an update on his health battle and share a testimony of hope.

In a video posted to his account, the 43-year-old revealed he had undergone another surgery at the Center for Advanced Specialty Surgery in Lagos to remove additional skin tumors.

“Sometimes, your faith in God will not prevent the storms from coming... but it will carry you through them," Banky W noted in his statement.

He further wrote, "Faith won't always stop you from hurting, but it will help you heal, and it will help you deal. God never said the weapons wouldn't form, He promised that they wouldn't prosper."

The singer expressed gratitude for the support of family, friends, and his medical team led by Dr. Onyewu and Dr. Adenuga.

Banky W was first diagnosed with cancer around 2007. Since then, he has courageously fought the disease through multiple surgeries and treatment plans.

However, he maintains an optimistic outlook, stating in his Instagram post "We have the victory yet again. Now and forever, in Jesus' name."
