Ghanaian actress Fella Makafui has been arrested for allegedly selling unregistered health products from her shop in Mempeasem.
ISPYGH 247, a renowned undercover documentary firm who led the operation said it has been monitoring Fella's social media posts advertising various products for six months.
Working with the Pharmacy Council of Ghana, ISPYGH 247 gathered enough evidence to raid Fella's shop on Wednesday, May 22.
A range of products were seized including fertility teas, butt enlargement oils and syrups, breast firming creams, vaginal products, sexual enhancement mixtures, and weight gain syrups.
According to ISPYGH 247 director Akwasi Koranteng, "Most of the drugs she sold were not registered by the FDA as required."
They added: "This joint operation aims to protect the public from harmful and unapproved products, ensuring the highest level of pharmaceutical care and competent providers."
During questioning, Fella allegedly confessed that many of the products in her shop were indeed unregistered.
However, she has since been granted bail as investigation continues.
