Renowned Ghanaian musician Kwabena Kwabena has declared that he will no longer be involved in campaign activities for any political party ahead of the 2024 general elections.
In an interview on Accra-based TV3's ‘New Day’ show on Friday, February 9, Kwabena Kwabena said he will no longer compose campaign songs for political parties
“I am completely out of politics. I am Ghanaian," he said when asked if he would campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in this year's polls.
The singer has in the past openly supported the ruling NPP, particularly ahead of the 2016 general elections that saw the party come into office.
He mounted their campaign platform in 2016 and urged Ghanaians to "vote for change" by electing then candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Kwabena Kwabena also released a campaign song for the party during the for the electioneering campaigns.
