Ghanaian rapper Kwame Yogot has expressed his admiration for dancehall icon Shatta Wale, saying the veteran artist inspires him to work even harder.
In a social media post on Monday, February 5, Kwame Yogot praised Shatta Wale's recent Konekt album and his longevity in the industry at his age.
"It’s funny how some people still disrespect Shatta wale(shatta movement)....smh At his age man still hitting it harder," Yogot wrote on Facebook.
He went on to commend Shatta Wale's work ethic and talent, saying "New champs still not getting anywhere closer and you think it easyyyy???? Mede3 manibrenu paaa and I pray I become like him or even more."
The comments come after Shatta Wale unveiled his highly anticipated Konekt album on February 2.
The 8-track project features collaborations with Nigerian star Tekno, newcomer Basil, and Jamaican icon Bounty Killer.
Fans and critics alike have praised the album for its danceable tunes and Shatta Wale's charismatic delivery.
For Yogot, the album is further proof of Shatta Wale's staying power in the industry.
