Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale says he sees his music as a platform to inspire the youth and preach the word of God.
At his performance at the Guinness Accravaganza on Saturday, December 2, Shatta Wale opened up about his spiritual faith which goes beyond making hit songs.
"I am just a servant of God, using my music as a way to preach and let people know that God is King of all Kings," the dancehall star told the energetic crowd.
He encouraged fans to rely on God rather than traditional healers or 'mallams' who often exploit people for money. "Watch God because God will watch over you," Shatta Wale advised.
Beyond his own music, Shatta Wale hopes to mentor young talents in Ghana.
"Next year, I want to have a music workshop to not only teach about music, but how to discover yourself and become who you want to be rather than try to be like someone else," he said.
This comes after A Rocha Ghana recently urged the musician to use his influence to champion Green innovation and sustainable jobs for the country’s youth.
