Kuami Eugene sacked me for returning late from an errand I ran for his lady friend — Ex-househelp

Highlife musician Kuami Eugene has been accused by his former househelp of sacking her for returning late from an errand she did for one of the musician's female friends.

In an interview, Mary, who worked as Kuami Eugene's househelp for three years, revealed that her services were terminated because she returned home past midnight after being sent on an errand by one of the artiste's lady friends.

According to Mary, on the day in question, she had been asked by a female acquaintance of Kuami Eugene to help deliver something.

However, she says she believes she got home after 12am, which led to her dismissal.

"He sacked me because I returned late from an errand. Frankly speaking I got home late that day. A lady friend of his asked me to deliver something and I think I got home after 12 am that day," Mary said.

In the same interview, Mary shared her experience disclosing that she was paid a peanut amount of Gh400 monthly when she commenced work for the musician.

“When I started working with him, he was paying me Gh400. However, after one year, he added Gh100 to it making my salary Gh500. The following year he did same until he recently sacked me,” Mary stated.
